Hi Manuel! I’m working with neuroscientists at the institution this data is from (Mass Gen & Northeastern University) and it took their breath away to see your work! Wonderous! Was wondering if there’s any guidance on how you did your render? As a beginner, I would also appreciate any tips on cleaning up the stray particles. Much love.
Is there a way to create multiple
MRI image sequences containing different datasets (eg. Veins/muscles/bone) from an MRI dataset and then merge them into your setup with different color values to visualize?
Hi Manuel,
Thank you for this and so many amazing tutorials. I’m getting hung up on the string detail used to calculate the correct frame number per slice. I noticed in your video that when you added the string in the Edit Parameter Interface you get a different result. As soon as you click Apply and Accept for the string, the field in your grid’s parameters turns from label to file number. When I create the string it stays as a label and when the detail is added it doesn’t result in a number for me. Here is my expression.
Clicking on the label name in the grid parameters the expression does not resolve to 1275 or any number. If I paste this as a relative reference into the file number of the attribfrommap node, the image stack goes pink.
Do you have any idea what I might be doing wrong? I’m using Houdini Indie 20.5.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide – Bill Blakesley
I’ve since loaded the project file and it looks like you may have edited the name of the field and it was cut out in the video. No worries there. Also, in my houdini version the field in your project doesn’t resolve to a number either so this probably doesn’t matter.
Thank you! Also, awhile back I hijacked the Entagma Movie Color Visualization tutorial to do something similar. Worked well 🙂
I once used 3dslicer to get scan data into houdini but I meshed it before import. this is way cooler

Hi there, Nice to hear that you like the render. I used Redshift volume rendering to create the images. Thanx Manuel
