I am using Blender 3.2.2 and didn’t find the “sample index” node. Had to use instead the “transfer attribute” node.

Hi Paul. Yes, the „sample index“ got introduced with a later Blender version in an effort to make the working of the „transfer attribute“ node more transparent. In the meantime (with Blender 3.4 Alpha) the transfer attribute is gone entirely. But you can use it nontheless with older versions of Blender.
