  1. Hi there, interesting discussion as usual. I am working with maya and 3ds for more than 10 years now, and I have started using houdini a couple of years ago (and immediately it became my fav one …): I’d say if you make archiviz, 3ds is still a must since almost all archiviz models you can buy are in 3ds + vray/corona format, and there are several plugins for archiviz that are very useful in 3ds such as floor generator, etc. Maya on the other side is still the best for character anim, with a lot of easy and powerful toos such as animation layers, etc. I have great hopes in Kinefx, but at the moment character anim it is still not at maya level… Thank you!!
